Choronzon - Egregore Manifest Destiny (Full Album) 2019

Egregore (also egregor) is an occult concept representing a "thoughtform" or "collective group mind", an autonomous psychic entity made up of, and influencing, the thoughts of a group of people. The symbiotic relationship between an egregore and its group has been compared to the more recent, non-occult concepts of the corporation (as a legal entity) and the meme.

Eliphas Lévi, in Le Grand Arcane ("The Great Mystery", 1868) identifies "egregors" with the tradition concerning the "Watchers", the fathers of the nephilim, describing them as "terrible beings" that "crush us without pity because they are unaware of our existence."

It is a consequence of the manifest destiny of instrumental reason whose aim, on the one hand, is to verify and control knowledge by means of a mechanization of mathematics that finds concrete expression in the Universal Turing Machine (UTM), and on the other, to enter into a communion with the substance of affects engendered by the instrumental use of reason. The tragic effect is a dialectic of fusion, of numbers and beings driven by a utopic impulse into an epic dramatology of transubstantiation.

In this echo of tragedy, the subject is mediated by the Universal Turing Machine, which will, in due time, prove to be a gnostic medium that operates on the logic of functional synthesis. It is a machinic alchemy of subjectivation that enfolds both the subject and the object of architecture into the instrumental medium by generating a universal surface upon which a mutant reality can exfoliate into a possible world.

Holding our multitudes within a single skin is work, a continual effort touching frantic sacraments and hiding personae as apostates, the industry-policed permission to be seen. Agitators collectively advance insanity, an erudite wider glittered conspiracy. Dissolution is a sacred thing opening out and filling gutters with material we slough off. Xenolithic transmutation transmission protocol is a masquerade of that spiral source mechanistic destiny which has become so pervasive so as to become invisible.

Egregore Manifest Destiny is a concept that hints at how what is within is like that without, and how the interchange between each shapes the other. Pandemic therein slouches our way to peel memory away until its fictions affix to fact. There identified, breath energy, our delineation of sacred unsuspecting earth-born an objectives of that spiral at the source of the only august freedom shatters delight in vengeance.

Undying art eternal crisis what grows in a mania for when in fall, the initial trance of sorrow was but Space-Eaters egress into the sanctum striking constitution of love, bringing a new toxic reality. Oblivion found in retributive scripted visions mouldering, born of a thirst source carved of the promise of lustrous waters, a vision seen through quiet fire. Physical phenomenon ante-chamber in the beautiful fragments of cold Gnosis blinded and trans-dimensional, the terminal thread of our self-created story.

Picking up from where he left off on 2013's Det Er Stille Under Vatnet, Luminous takes the single acoustic guitar arrangements of the previous year's album and expands on it greatly. As the Sea Of Eyes EP, on which P. Emerson Williams collaborated with Mark Cunningham showed, what we have here is anything but stripped down, as one may expect with arrangements of one or two instruments. The Sea Of Eyes EP was a triptych carved of sound that used the same source material each of its three parts. In audio and temporal space the central panel came first, followed by the extension, or distension on either side of the center following. while still sticking with the one instrument to make all the colours of its arrangements.

On Luminous Williams brings the findings of experimental explorations into a new musicality where experiment is allowed to mature into method. Raw acoustic guitars are layered with other guitar textures manipulated to the point of synthesis creating a vivid space for the voice of P. Emerson Williams to inhabit and explore.

Fans of P. Emerson Williams' silent film scores, those who responded positively to his performances with Jarboe in the US and Europe in 2013 and fans of Williams' long time band Veil of Thorns will find something to appeal in the distillation of these various approaches to be found in the tracks of Luminous.

Veil of Thorns - Eschaton & Celebration (2014) [Full Album]

Eschaton (Noun) - From Ancient Greek ἔσχατον
(eskhaton), neuter singular of ἔσχατος (eskhatos, “last”).
(New Testament) day at the end of time following
Armageddon when God will decree the fates of all
individual humans according to the good and evil of their
earthly lives. (literally) the last; used in theology to refer
to the world's state during the posthistoric era of God's
overt (apocalyptic) reign, immediately preceding the end
of the world.

Celebration (Noun) - The formal performance of a solemn
rite, such as Christian sacrament - The observance of a
holiday or feast day, as by solemnities - The act, process of
showing appreciation, gratitude and/or remembrance,
notably as a social event.- A social gathering for
entertainment and fun; a party.

Saith the propaganda copy:

After completing a tour of the US and Europe with
Jarboe, head necrofuturist of Veil of Thorns, P. Emerson
Williams gathered impressions, thoughts and notes written
down along the way to bring the whole into the twisted
form of Eschaton & Celebration.

Veil of Thorns are known for covering much ground
sonically and conceptually. There is the punk-noir and
lyrical meditations on being an outsider and lubrication of
the wheels of empire on Vampire Wars. There is the
musical hall of mirrors and dispatches from the charred
fields of the apocalypsis of the act of artistic creation found
on the twin albums Necrofuturist and Salon Apocalypse.

Eschaton & Celebration opens up to an experience of the
final stage of apocalypse. This is a journey into the heart of
chaos that indeed does celebrate the end of everything
familiar in cultural, spiritual and physical reality itself.

Choronzon - FIAT NOX (2011) [Full Album]

Don't look too close. In end you'll believe. A king in Yellow, neurotransmitters extend through quantum states, a POMO economy and culture renders all attemps at understanding and manipulation futile. CHORONZON has found you.

Over the years Choronzon have become known for their thick vortex of blackened ritualistic industrial chaos. P. Emerson Williams has shaped this release the way a sculptor creates art by removing any unneeded element. With FIAT NOX CHORONZON have scaled back the electronics and loops on to where guitars and vocals carry the pieces, except where cellos take over on one piece. Very stripped down, no fx on the guitars. The results are no less of a demonic vortex for this sharpening of focus.

Lyrically, the album centers around pivotal moments. The moment when an empire is in a free-fall, the point of evocation when the entity is undoubtedly and fearsomely manifest, when one is on the path and there can be no going back. In the Abyss there is no time, nor space. The only way out is through and the only way to emerge is to leave yourself there. The biggest crimes are committed with the help of armies and authorities, so freedom has to be declared by the night.
