Necrofuturist Transmission #40 - Calling All Reactive Agents Apr. 4th, 2012 @ 07:07 am

The Hands of Orlac (1924) P. Emerson Williams Score Mar. 31st, 2012 @ 02:54 pm

Directed by the great Robert Wiene (Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari).

A concert pianist, Paul Orlac (Conrad Veidt), loses his hands in a railway accident. Replacement hands are transplanted onto him in an experimental procedure, but the hands are those of a recently-executed murderer. From that point forward, the pianist is tortured by panic attacks and irrational fears. He believes that with the hands of the murderer he has also gained the murderer's predisposition to killing. Strange signs and bizarre threatening letters reinforce these fears. When his father is killed, with whom he was on bad terms, the pianist is suspected of the murder. He only finds peace by clearing up the plot.

Conrad Veidt as Paul Orlac
Alexandra Sorina as Yvonne Orlac
Fritz Kortner as Nera
Carmen Cartellieri as Regine
Fritz Strassny as Paul's father
Paul Askonas as Servant

Necrofuturist Transmission Episode 37 - into our lustrous resting place Jan. 20th, 2012 @ 01:41 pm

No wandering dispossessed that have not been scheduled for treatment or unsettled are left at large. You liberate the structure of emergence and disperse love in refutation of their onslaught. Patrols receive your surrender sympathetically. Within your core you end up drained, addicted to being. You will preside over your downfall.

Cells are dark and cold no longer. Everything is joined like an enclosing sculpture. You close your eyes and see the veins of your eyelids. You breathe in. You chant our name slowly, pulse slowing, mind stilling. You resist sleep. Sleep lures you out of action and into our lustrous resting place.

Seraphic surveillance eyes above you emanate reaction in sudden waves, realization sanitized, fatality, renewal, being, loss, in hoary divisions thrown into hysteria. Not you. You resist a smile, though the laughter rings out in the dawn beyond the walls.

» Necrofuturist Episode 23 – Beastern Crabalistic Sources

The Necrofuturist Illuminati were set up for “gothronomic intriguing rather than in speculation”, the Necrofuturist Illuminati became “much more characteristic of a cross-dimensional militia in action than a disorder with initiations. ” P. Emerson Williams’ contempt for certain exoteric pursuits – as a “thing-in-itself” – was widely known: “… in Williams’ system the phraseology of Gothraism, the Necrolistic legends of Freemasonry, the mystical imaginings of the Fartinistes, play at first no part at all. For all forms of ‘gothosophy,’ gnoccicism, refined spiritsism, and musick-magick Williams expresses nothing but contemporaneousness, and the Doze-Croix Necromasons are bracketed with the Necruits by the Necrofuturist Illuminati as enemas it is necessary to out-twit at every turn. Consequently no degree of Doze-Croix finds a place in Williams’ system, as in all the other Gothtronic orders of the day which drew their influence from Beastern or Crabalistic sources.”

» The Ravens Head

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - LONDON 5TH SEPTEMBER 2011

Weaponized is proud to announce the publication of ‘The Ravens Head’ a powerful new book by author Craig VI Slee.

Once upon a time, the first story was told – somewhere deep within the fields of memory, a vision was transmitted from one person to another. Once upon a time, a tale touched you and changed your world. It transported you somewhere else and left its fingerprints upon your life, and then when others saw the marks, you told of how they came to be. Over time, you wrapped yourself in stories, tattooing them upon the skin of your existence to make sense of all that happened. When others offered you stories, you took them gladly and spliced them with your own, until you could no longer discover where yours ended and theirs began.

Who exactly is it that tells your tale, guides the monologue and direct your actions? How much of your world is actually your own, and how much of it is painted scenery put there in the years before you were born? What is actually wallpaper over Plato’s cave walls, put there to soothe humankind and conceal the bare, unyielding rock?

What happens when you boil it all down and you are left with ash, ground down to the bone and struggling under the weight of loss and incomprehension?

Welcome then, to The Ravens’ Head.

A story about stories, about the search for the language of the birds, the tongue of the Angels – it chronicles the life and work of a man engaging in the oldest quest. The quest to become more human than human, and recover his nature from the mob-spectacle known as “reality.”

The Ravens’ Head is part travelogue, part mythic narrative and part journey inward into the depths of consciousness itself. Written by a figure steeped in mythic landscapes and tales, it presents a unique take on life and the notions of disability and impairment.

Focusing on the inescapable notions of physicality and sensation, it examines the conventions of power and control – revealing them to be nothing but stories and charms to ease the discomfort of life in an indifferent universe.

A furious exploration of the connections between poetry and communication – between stories, myth and magic, it serves as a gateway into the world behind the wallpaper; through the metaphors of ancient myth and personal experience, it opens doors for the reader to examine their own life and partake in a glorious phantasmagoria of inspired creation.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
CRAIG ‘VI’ SLEE or MR. VI if you’re feeling formal, lives in the North of England in a place charmingly nicknamed ‘Hanging Town’. Crazed spastic: poet, storyteller and philosopher, he embraces a peculiar life of furious seizure.

Gripped by the ecstatic awe and dread known by the ancients as wôdh, he makes deals with the grandfathers of ravens and counts the Furious Host as blood brothers. He sits at crossroads in the middle of the night and knows the scent of blood and frost as well as he does mead and woodsmoke.

He’s more than a little bit dead. He drinks dark ale and smoky whisky and can send you places by the power of his voice. The waters of the dream-sea flow in his veins and pain is the herald and gateway of his vision.

He made a deal with the Devil in the grounds of a thousand year-old church, giving up his soul for skill with words. Or he conjured up the Headless One and ignited the immortal fire, and he walks without walking, striding through your dreams and over the graves of giants.

At least, these are some of the stories they tell of him. He has a beard and a hat, and if you asked about them and called him a sorcerer, he couldn’t possibly comment. But he does like cats, which is nice.

This is a very cool idea, a "mixtape" created as a playlist of videos. This edition includes the Veil of Thorns track De Lege Motus, from the album Vampire Wars.

If you haven't yet, go here to download Vampire Wars for free.

Hello, joyful readers looking for new music. The second etape of razor coated candies is out, which is a weekly edition of 21 tracks ranging from black to another shade of black (and very intense, rumbling, bass- and melody-heavy and otherwise quite enjoyable inbetween). There is a huge mixture of genres, last week’s RCC meandered from darkpop through cabaret and ambient to electrohouse, this week’s edition might be a bit more influenced by gothic, but I wouldn’t be so sure. Be prepared – every Thursday brings you a new edition (something Miss @Toyclouds called endre kabátolt cukorkák which sent bits of our brain Sputnikwards), share this Dragontape package if you need some weekly recommendation into the blissful waves beyond the mainstream maya.

» The Immanence of Myth is Published
This has been a long time coming, verily a monumental undertaking that brings a whole new set of perspectives on the stories we in which we live. Thought provoking writing and great art is lovingly gathered and edited by James Curcio.

(And my drawings are found throughout...)

Weaponized is proud to announce that ‘The Immanence of Myth’ is published today.

The book will begin to show as in stock with retailers in the coming weeks.

Due to the titles popularity, pre-orders of the book should arrive with our customers in the next two to three weeks as we work through our back orders.

The Immanence of Myth is available from Amazon and all major retailers.

Laurie LiptonWhere can we begin a genuine discussion of immanence in myth? Do we engage the tools of analysis on the dissection table of academia? Or perhaps it is best not dealt with in sterile light, being rather an arcane synthesis, a syncretism.

If myth is something long dead, a corpse exhumed with philosophical disinterest, then please consider this work an attempt at necromancy. But if myth is considered something dangerous; full of falsities, dead ends and mazes luring the unwary into a fugue of superstition, then consider it a whispered pass-phrase into another world: the world beyond the wallpaper. A world that recognizes the real is in the effect rendered, rather than in the thing symbolized. Conflicting fictions drive Holy wars. How is a history born of spilled blood unreal? How is it meaningless, even if all the Gods are just shadows cast on the wall by finger-puppets? Myth is not dead, nor is it false; it is living, and misunderstood.

This anthology is a book. For the philosophers Deleuze and Guattari, a book is an assemblage:
“Comparative rates of flow on these lines produce phenomena of relative slowness and viscosity, or, on the contrary, of acceleration and rupture. All this, lines and measurable speeds, constitutes an assemblage. A book is an assemblage of this kind, and as such is unattributable. It is a multiplicity[.]” (A Thousand Plateaus)

It is an assemblage of voices gathered together to speak on the immanence of myth. It is, as already stated, a multiplicity, which is fitting as myth embraces multiplicity.

Contrasting Mythos with Logos, we contrast those multiple voices against the singular, the transcendent. Whereas the logos is the word of God, the divine fiat that structures and moves our universe, so the mythos is an indefinite set of articles, tales told for the telling itself, with no hard and fast authority, no assertable Ultimate Truth, no attributable origin grounded in cold solidity. It is immanent rather than transcendent because it is the codification of our direct experience, forms and ideas ground from our collective bones and flesh.

-Mr. VI and James Curcio, from the chapter "Immanence and Butchery."

When ones path crosses the art of FoolishPeople the experience is one that strikes deep to one's heart and one that stays with one forever. This goes for those of us fortunate enough to be part of bringing the ritual art to life and anyone who attend and share in performances. With Strange Factories you are part of the story from the start and all the way through to the other side. Having taken this journey through several projects with FP, I can say this is one of those rare phenomena, art that changes one's life forever. This is why we come to you. Our art is co-created and the usual methods can't contain its full expression. You're already hearing the Hum, the world of Strange Factories is bleeding into yours and we can hear your dreams.

"There is a theme to Necrofuturist, but an as yet nebulous one. I'm pulling together phenomena and experiences connected with art movements of the last hundred years and the corresponding societal upheavals that ran concurrently and which had an enormous impact on the birth, life and death of those art movements."

"At the same time, I'm meditating on the similarities and interconnectedness of art and cultural groups and cults, magickal groups, religions, philosophical paradigm shifts and the growth they spur as well as the devastation they leave in their wake, both psychick and materially manifest."

"Necrofuturist continues the theme of Salon Apocalypse. TAZ in a warzone, flowers on a landmine, the society of vandals, love & war. Time out of joint. it's therefore appropriate that this came together first."
- P. Emerson Williams

At the time of writing and recording Necrofuturist and Salon Apocalypse, I was deep in the world of Abattoir Pages and the country in Terra Incognita in which it unfolded is a place my dreams will always take place from that point on.

"Humans literally told themselves into existence. We are constructed from a million narratives that have accompanied us across time, exhaled and etched on every conceivable surface, so that even in the darkest times we would never forget who we are. What we call reality and every element in it is constructed from stories and myth. The surface of fiction is present everywhere. What is physics if not a beautiful story, told in an intricate language of symbols and meaning that we’re still very much engaged in the act of telling, as we travel far deeper to the heart of its truth."

Excerpt from Storyteller - On the Writing of Strange Factories by John Harrigan, from an original article for the awakeningartsnetwork.

Necrofuturist Transmission - Episode XXX - Gnoccicism - the Necros Templar

Tonight 19:30-20:30 GMT on Nightbreed Radio.

That group is not the same as wanna-be satinistas and confused freaks blurting people. nor is it the same as the group that runs weevil government mind control experiments, or any group influenced by nasty hungry evil spirits, etc.

We wouldn't be able to have these conversations today if it weren't for generations of Necrofuturists working to free the human spirit through the bondage of leather, superimposition of discipline, false festishism, tribal/racial hatreds, Feudalism, etc.

So on the one side we have the traditional, Historical Necrofuturists and then on the other side of the coin we have the nefarious, dangerous and "sexy" Necrofuturists, which is more akin to ScareCrow's Hermetically sealed sausages of tradition called the Order of the Silver Star, with Tantric Sex rituals, worship of the Lingam and Yoni and the Swill to Plow 'er, with ties to the Necrocrucians, medieval switchcraft, Necrofuturist Sufis, Gnoccicism, the Necros Templar, Egyptian cults, Eleusinian Masteries and DiaGnosticism.

And of course, just to complicate matters even further, the Order of the Silver Scar is referring to the godscar Sirius....all roads lead to Rome.

So what I want to know is, what do the Doggone have to do with the Necrofuturists?

CITIZEN Y

INT. HAZE, HEALTH RESOURCE REALIGNMENT

Two lines of beds are slanted against opposite walls. A large golden minus sign is painted above one set of beds and a plus sign above the other set of beds.

Lying in the minus beds are the morbidly obese. Needles are embedded in their flesh and their fat is being siphoned off. It travels along transparent tubes that run along the length of the ceiling and down the walls to the beds on the opposite side of the room, where a gold plus sign is displayed. The tubes pump thick globs of human fat into the mouths of the anorexic patients who are strapped into the plus beds.

A sign hangs down from the centre of the room.

“Y - Y = NOTHING”

» The End of the Word as We Know It - Is Available Now.

Remember the unburied dead (and the as yet unborn) this Memorial Day: The End of the Word As We Know It is now available to order from Amazon.

This is a cycle of poetry narrated by and studying Thorn, a storm giant turned little horn, eventually becoming a letter subsumed into language and forgotten. It is a response to the unburied dead whose need for vengeance re-ignites ancient spirit winds. And it is at the end a cry for meaning in a vortex of signifier without sign, spun out and half-mad in the twister’s line-of-sight.

The Choronzon Demon(N) Box, which collects the seven demos from before Magog Agog. Taken from various sources from 1/4" reels to DAT tapes to loving FLAC rips that were sent in a manner of someone sharing state secrets. All were digitally remastered and expanded in some cases. This limited edition includes seven CD's in individually hand-painted boxes.

Orders for the Choronzon Demo(N) Box have closed. Many thanks to those of you who are waiting for your unique box. The construction and painting are well underway.

The year - 86 - the initial inspiration of an intelligence far beyond the ken of the young Emerson. the co-conspirators who were not let in on the plans recorded a very different set of sounds.
Raw material of guitar-bass-drums-vox were separated and individually put through tortures - dragged through the Abyss if you will...
Individual sounds and habits were stretched and layered upon themselves. Utilizing two tape decks - an 8-track reel to reel recorder and sounds rerouted through amplifiers and fed again through delays and reverb into the final master. Other unsavory acts committed in the making of this recording shall not be detailed here...

Choronzon - In The Halls (1987)

This is where the tone was set for the metal oriented releases. The sound is basically Black Thrash, but the drum machine is introduced and pushed to the limit. The desire to make the fast sections chaotic led to the drum patterns to be full on blast beats, which was not common in 1987. Vicious Thrash punishment is embedded in ritual ambient soundscapes.

Dispersion (1988)

Recorded live in a cave. Those assembled were not an audience, but active participants in the ritual melee. The recording was captured through a network of ribbon and contact microphones spread throughout and recorded on a vintage 1/4» reel. Cassette copies were run off for participants on the spot and no other distribution happened until this digital remastered edition.

Torn Away (1989)

Torn Away is a release that was something I thought was lost forever. Thank you pirate people, music traders, torrenters. Due to some odd circumstances, disasters large and small, I have lost any master tapes and copies of several demos over the years. (There remains about 500 hours of music I have yet to master and release. We'll see.)
Disclosing the circumstances that brought this back to me would compromise the individuals involved and reveal things that need to be hidden until they are writ large in the skies...

In My Own Lifeblood I Exult to Float (1991)

I'll quote the source I got this back from but I have to ask: for the Market? Is this person taking the piss? Doesn't matter, thirty-three copies were handed out one enchanted evening. All present were anonymous, so when the master tape was lost, I never thought I'd hear this again. I didn't title this collection, but the original torrenter called it that, so I figured I'd create a cover. Some of you may recall the image.
Quoth the source of my prodigal demon child:
Year: 1991
Songs:

1: In My Own Life Blood I Exult To Float
2: Cruel and Epicene
3: Agony and Bliss
4: Visitation of Dread Desire
5: Crossing the Abyss

Length: 00:49:54
This is some very primitive and even more lysergic Black Metal. The final track sounds like tape manipulation done in a parking garage. In comparison to the only publicly traded demo they did before they signed to Nocturnal Art, this is much rawer and less "experimental" and more experimental, if you know what I mean. For the later demo they seemed to be trying to pull in Throbbing Gristle fans with their electronics and cutup arrangements.
I'm guessing that at this point Mr. Williams was just starting to consider making this project something for the market, though the vocals still sound more like incantations from rituals and do not necessarily make for the best rockin' entertainment.
A very hard tape to get a hold of, as he was still only giving copies to persons present at the event itself. The individual who passed this on to me told me it was recorded in a network of underground caverns under the city of Providence, RI. As with anything that has to do with Choronzon and P. Emerson Williams, there's no way to verify the stories.
My source for this recording refuses to tell me who he is or how he obtained it. Apparently some were injured in the process of the performance and were considered to be chosen and special for the experience. I used to run into people from this strange cult a lot back in the nineties, but they must all be locked away by now.

Wartorn Void (1994)

It was 1994 and Choronzon the entity had been with me for a long while by this point and informed every part of what I did with the project. Four of the tracks recorded during these sessions went out to 'zines under the name "Emotional Hunger", but there was a ton of other material that was shared with closer associates in the form you find here.
In a way, I think the heavy parts work better on this demo than some of the later recordings, due perhaps to the limits of 8-track reel to reel. I was also wearing my Celtic Frost and Voivod influences on my sleeve.
Listen to this back to back with 2010's Choronzon album "Ziggurat of Dead Shibboleths" and you'll find there is a consistency of feel and aesthetic. Some of the earlier rawness is returning even as the abyss deepens.

333 (1996)
A Lord of Chaos, Choronzon (whose cabalistic number is 333), has been following me around for a while, ever since I summoned him forth, in the shadow state between dreams and waking. It's disturbing when something from the land of Morpheus breaks through, and you get a tape from a local band that has named itself (coincidently, of course) after the very demon who has been wreaking havoc in your life. Choronzon (the band) is P. Emerson Williams, also of Veil of Thorns, and he obviously knows the occult arts. I'm assuming he's a Thelemite, because one of the songs is called "Perdurabo", a pseudonym of Aleister Crowley's.
In any case, the music is HEAVY. thick, dark and raging. The songs are a caustic liquid, dripping from my speakers like rivers of fire, howling and shrieking in anger and torment. Drum beats loop on top of one another, twisting themselves into a rope that the music can climb on (although I'm looking forward to when Williams gets a live drummer(s), because for all the creative intricacies in the music, the rhythms are too mechanical at times).
Dense guitar crunch permeates the album, throwing a few technical metal riffs, and the vocals seem to have been ripped from the throat of 333 himself.
If you want to delve into the world of unconscious terror, or think that you've heard the deepest and heaviest metal has gotten, get this tape. But be prepared for little "accidents" to follow you around for a while.
